Bindi Irwin’s little warrior is here.
Irwin, the 22-year-old daughter of “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, gave birth to her first child, daughter Grace Warrior Irwin Powell — and named the baby after her late father.
“Our graceful warrior is the most beautiful light … Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior,” Bindi said in an Instagram post Friday announcing Grace’s birth.
The baby girl arrived on March 25 — which was also Bindi and husband Chandler Powell’s first wedding anniversary. Bindi tied the knot with Powell, a 24-year-old professional wakeboarder, at the Irwin family’s Australia Zoo in a ceremony that was scaled down to only family members because of the coronavirus pandemic.
In addition to honoring Steve, who was killed in a stingray attack in 2006, Bindi and Chandler chose the first name Grace as a tribute to Bindi’s great-grandmother and “relatives in Chandler’s family dating back to the 1700s.”
“There are no words to describe the infinite amount of love in our hearts for our sweet baby girl,” Bindi added in her post on Friday. “She chose the perfect day to be born and we feel tremendously blessed.”
Bindi kept fans updated through every step of her pregnancy, and even recreated a sweet, bump-baring photo of her parents, Steve and Terri Irwin, when Terri was pregnant with Bindi’s now-17-year-old brother, Robert.
