Warning: SPOILERS for WandaVision episode 4.
WandaVision episode 4 shifts the focus of the Disney+ show, bringing back some cast members and characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the process. The initial three episodes of Marvel Studios' first live-action MCU show delivered on its sitcom copying style. These focused primarily on Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) living their new, fake lives together in Westview.
Each episode of WandaVision has raised more questions about what is going on, and episode 4 did a lot of the heavy lifting to reveal the truth. Instead of once again following the suburban lives of Scarlet Witch and Vision, WandaVision shifts its focus to what is happening outside of Westview for episode 4. This comes by showing SWORD's involvement in monitoring what is happening. They are tipped off about a missing person case shortly after Thanos' snap was reversed by Hulk, and that leads them and the FBI to uncover what is happening in Westview. Even if they don't understand it, they are able to see the events of WandaVision's first three episodes play out as sitcoms.
While WandaVision episode 4 brings back a few characters who have been featured in early episodes, the bulk of the runtime is spent with new characters for the show. In some cases, these characters are people the MCU has introduced before. But, there are also a handful of brand new characters. Here's every character who appears in WandaVision episode 4 and who plays them.
Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlett Witch
She might not be the focus of the episode this time, but WandaVision episode 4 still features Elizabeth Olsen reprising her role as Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch. The MCU star has appeared in four movies during Phases 2 and 3, but she's also known for her roles in Godzilla and Wind River. Outside of replaying moments already shown, the new moments for Wanda in episode 4 include showing what actually happened between her and Geraldine/Monica.
Paul Bettany as Vision
Paul Bettany is also back as Vision in WandaVision episode 4, but new footage of him is quite bare. He's momentarily shown in a new form when Wanda imagines him as he looked at the end of Avengers: Infinity War - with no color to his body and a hole in his head where the Mind Stone used to be. Bettany is best known for roles in A Beautiful Mind and A Knight's Tale, as well as his multiple MCU films and voicing JARVIS.
Kathryn Hahn as Agnes
Kathryn Hahn returns as Agnes briefly in WandaVision episode 4. Agnes doesn't get any substantial new scenes and is one of the only people in Westview that SWORD can't identify as a real-life person. Some of Hahn's more memorable roles include comedies like Step Brothers and the Bad Moms franchise.
Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau
Teyonah Parris is at the center of WandaVision episode 4, which gives her the first chance to actually play Monica Rambeau. After being "Geraldine" inside the show's fake reality, the new episode reveals how Monica got in there in the first place. This came in addition to showing that she was a snap victim and worked with SWORD long before. Monica is freed from Westview by the end of the episode and fears Scarlet Witch. Parris has previously had significant roles in Chi-Raq and If Beale Street Could Talk, and she'll return as Monica Rambeau in Captain Marvel 2.
Randall Park as Jimmy Woo
Randall Park returns to the MCU as Jimmy Woo for WandaVision episode 4. He was only previously seen in Ant-Man and the Wasp in 2018. Woo is still an FBI agent during the show's events but works with SWORD on the missing person case and is there when Monica disappears into the energy bubble. The comedic actor is best known as one of the stars of ABC's Fresh Off the Boat and Netflix's romantic comedy Always Be My Maybe. He also previously appeared in DC's Aquaman.
Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis
WandaVision episode 4 also featured the MCU return of Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis. Her previous MCU credits came in Thor and Thor: The Dark World, but it's been more than a decade in the timeline since she's been seen. Darcy is now a doctor and one of the top astrophysicists on the planet, which is why SWORD recruits her to help figure out what is happening as Westview. Outside of the MCU, Dennings is best known for her work leading 2 Broke Girls for six seasons and starring in Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist.
Josh Stamberg as Director Hayward
One of the biggest new characters introduced in WandaVision episode 4 came with Josh Stamberg as Director Hayward. He is the semi-newly appointed Director of SWORD following the death of Maria Rambeau. Hayward is not a character from Marvel Comics. Stamberg is best known for recurring roles on Parenthood, The Affair, Nashville, and The Loudest Voice.
